AKON Türkiye - Social Innovation

The "Science Caravan: Science Explorers" project, implemented in cooperation with AKON Innovation Unit and Crewft Technology, aims to provide equal opportunities in the fields of science, technology and creative thinking to children aged 8-14 living in rural areas. The mobile science caravan, which will visit 24 villages in 12 cities across Türkiye, will bring children together with STEM-themed competitions and training. Competitions organized within the scope of the project will be broadcast live in the format of a 60-minute television program. In this way, viewers all over Turkey will witness, moment by moment, children's exciting struggles with science. Many interactive events such as drone flights, solar energy applications, coding workshops and scientific experiments will be held live. While more than 240 children receive direct education during the project, it is aimed to reach 5 million people through digital platforms and social media. With the "Science Caravan", scientific awareness is created in rural areas, while children are supported to connect with technology and develop scientific thinking.
