Mr. Yasin Uluhan, Chairman of the European Confederation of Science Education, Health and Culture (AKON), participated in the official commemoration program held at Küçükçekmece Ceremony Area within the scope of November 10, Atatürk's Commemoration Day. The ceremony was held with great respect and longing on the 85th anniversary of the passing away of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey. At 09.05, a moment of silence was observed accompanied by sirens, and then the National Anthem was sung. Chairman Mr. Yasin Uluhan laid a wreath at the Atatürk monument on behalf of AKON in the ceremony area and once again emphasized their commitment to the ideal of "raising generations with free ideas, free conscience, and free wisdom". Uluhan made the following statements in his short evaluation after the ceremony: "Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk is just a man." He is not only a commander but also a leader of thought and civilization. It is our duty to keep alive the modern, scientific and liberal values he inherited to us. Today, we bow here once again with respect to his cherished memory. The district protocol, representatives of public institutions, students, teachers, non-governmental organizations and citizens also participated intensively. The commemoration program continued with speeches about the meaning and importance of the day and poems and performances prepared by the students. As AKON, we commemorate Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk with mercy, gratitude and endless respect.
