University academicians, public administrators and guests showed great interest in the event held on February 26, 2025. Akon Confederation organized a program titled "The Importance of Ramadan" on February 26, 2025, in order to share the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan and raise social awareness. The event held in Küçükçekmece; Küçükçekmece District Mufti Hasan Hüseyin Palabıyık, Küçükçekmece District Director of National Education Emin Çıkrıkçı, academics from various universities, educators, civil society representatives and many guests attended. The program started with the works performed by the hymn group. Afterwards, the participants had an experience in line with the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan with the whirling dervish show. In the conversation part of the program, the individual and social effects of Ramadan were discussed. District Mufti Hasan Hüseyin Palabıyık, who was among the speakers, emphasized that Ramadan is not only limited to fasting, but also has great importance in terms of reflecting values ​​such as sharing, patience and compassion into social life. Education Director Eminçıkçı drew attention to the importance of Ramadan in terms of the value awareness it creates in children and young people. In the program, academics also made short presentations on the historical and sociological aspects of Ramadan. The participants left this meaningful meeting with satisfaction after the prayer at the end of the event.
