AKON Türkiye - Social Innovation

Prof. is a lecturer at Marmara University Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of Political Science and Public Administration and also Head of the Governance and Non-Governmental Organizations Master's Program. Dr. Yüksel Demirkaya visited AKON Chairman Mr. Yasin Uluhan at AKON Headquarters. Within the scope of the visit, a comprehensive meeting was held on the role of non-governmental organizations in Turkey, developments in the field of governance and the projects carried out by AKON. Prof. Dr. Demirkaya emphasized the importance of civil society in democratic processes and stated that they closely follow and support AKON's effective work in this field. Chairman Mr. Yasin Uluhan said, "We were very pleased to be together with Prof. Dr. Yüksel Demirkaya. They guided us in strengthening non-governmental organizations with their academic perspective and experience. We believe in the importance of such meetings in order to evaluate cooperation opportunities and develop joint projects." The meetings also included training and awareness to increase the active participation of young people in the field of civil society. projects, as well as the development of innovation and social development projects were discussed. Prof. Dr. Demirkaya stated that they are open to collaborations that will increase social benefit by bringing together AKON's vision and academic knowledge.
