Prof. Dr. Süleyman DOĞANProf. Dr. Süleyman Doğan currently works as a faculty member at Yıldız Technical University, Faculty of Science and Letters, Department of Sociology. After completing his graduate education, Fırat worked as a faculty member at Istanbul and Trakya universities, and joined Yıldız Technical University in 2009. He received the title of associate professor in 2012 and professor in 2022. He served as deputy director of the Institute of Social Sciences (2011-2014) and vice dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences (2024) at the university. He taught as a guest lecturer at the University of Malaya and served as a formator/education inspector at the Ministry of Education. He has a registered researcher identity in international databases such as ORCID, Scopus and Web of Science. BIOGRAPHY Süleyman Doğan is a scientist who concentrated his academic studies in the fields of sociology, philosophy and educational sciences. His research areas include sociology of education, philosophy of education, cultural studies, postmodern media, family counseling and social structures. He teaches courses such as Philosophy of Education, Sociology, Postmodern Media, Marriage and Family Counseling, Cultural Studies and Identity at undergraduate and graduate levels. The theses were completed under the supervision of Doğan, who directed many master's theses throughout his academic life; It covers current and important issues such as teachers' perception of organizational support, leadership styles, sources of stress, professional burnout, game-based teaching, moral philosophy, multicultural education, and organizational commitment. Doğan's works have been published in many national and international peer-reviewed journals; It spans a wide spectrum such as the Turkish world, philosophy of education, cultural values such as Mevlana, Yunus Emre, Hacı Bektaş Veli, Mehmet Akif Ersoy, sociology of migration, postmodern media analysis and disaster sociology. It has an interdisciplinary perspective with a wide range of interests ranging from education to philosophy, from sociology to cultural studies. His publications include "Postmodern Media", "Sociology with Questions and Sociology of Education", "Professors' Parade", "Rectors Speak", "10 Letters to Corona", "Stories That Make Life Beautiful", "We Need to Talk", "Pedagogical Suggestions from Mesnevi", "Happy Family" There are books such as "Happy Child", "The Mirror of the Family Child" and "Children Are Not a Small Thing". He has also written chapters in many books and written encyclopedia articles. He is a member of professional and non-governmental organizations such as Education-Bir Sen, Literature, Art and Culture Research Association (ESKADER), İLESAM (Turkish Professional Association of Scientific and Literary Work Owners), Turkish Philosophy Association and Turkish Writers Association. He is a member of the editorial board of various scientific journals and serves as a referee in TÜBİTAK projects. He was awarded the Supreme State Order Medal by the Assembly of the Gagauz Autonomous Republic of Moldavia.
