Prof. Dr. Mithat Zeydan is a scientist who stands out with his academic and applied studies in the field of industrial engineering. He currently serves as Head of Department at Istanbul Medeniyet University, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Department of Industrial Engineering. Zeydan, who has been continuing his academic studies at the same university since 2021, specializes in human-centered production systems and industrial optimization. His research areas include modern industrial engineering disciplines such as artificial intelligence, neural networks, fuzzy sets, production planning, facility layout, project management, supply chain and logistics systems, quality control and occupational safety. He carries out both theoretical and applied studies in these areas, especially focusing on multi-objective optimization problems. Dr. In addition to his academic studies, Mithat Zeydan contributes to the development of scientific projects by young researchers by providing consultancy in TÜBİTAK-supported 2209-A student R&D projects. Zeydan, who defines industrial engineering as "the engineering discipline that sees the big picture", focuses on efficiency, system design and human-oriented engineering solutions in businesses with his experience in both the private sector and academia.
