Prof. Dr. Mikdat Kadıoğlu is one of Turkey's leading academics in the field of meteorological engineering and disaster management. He was born in Trabzon in 1961. He completed his undergraduate education in the Department of Meteorological Engineering at Istanbul Technical University in 1984. Continuing his academic career at Istanbul Technical University, Kadıoğlu works as a faculty member in the Department of Meteorological Engineering, Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He specializes in climate change, weather forecasting, crisis management and disaster management, and carries out studies especially on reducing disaster risks and creating social awareness. Within the scope of his academic duties, he served as a Faculty Board Member and Deputy Head of Department at Istanbul Technical University for many years. He also carries out active work within the ITU Disaster Management Center. Prof. Dr. Mikdat Kadıoğlu has written many books, articles and scientific publications on meteorology and disaster awareness; He also made significant contributions to increasing society's disaster awareness through the media.Prof. Dr. Mikdat Kadıoğlu; He takes an active role in the evaluation and guidance processes of scientific studies carried out in the fields of climate change, meteorological disasters and crisis management, and plays an active role in project monitoring, academic compliance approval and audit processes in the Scientific Board of our innovation center.
