Prof. Dr. İlker Murat Koç currently serves as the Dean of the Mechanical Faculty of Istanbul Technical University and the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department. Prof. completed his undergraduate education at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Istanbul Technical University. Dr. Koç completed his master's degree at ITU Institute of Science and Technology, Machine Theory and Control Program, and his doctorate at Carnegie Mellon University in the United States. During his academic career, he carried out studies at leading research centers in the United States, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom and France; He has taken part in international projects in the fields of robotics, control systems, vibration technologies, micro and nano systems and advanced engineering applications. Prof. Dr. Koç has led important projects in the field of defense industry and space technologies; He has provided consultancy to institutions such as ASELSAN, TAI, TUBITAK SAGE and Kale Aviation. He took an active role in autonomous rocket projects capable of vertical landing developed within the scope of Teknofest, and carried out studies on new generation space vehicles and propulsion systems. He also served as a member of the Teknopark Istanbul Project Supervisory Board and contributed to the evaluation and supervision of high technology projects. In addition to his academic studies, Prof. also took an active role in social responsibility and innovation projects. Dr. Ram; He has led many projects developed on technological solutions, textile-based advanced material technologies and sustainable transportation systems to improve the quality of life of disabled individuals. He contributed to the training of many master's and doctoral students within the scope of the research laboratories he established and the TÜBİTAK projects he carried out. Dr. İlker Murat Koç; It carries out scientific and technical evaluations of projects developed in the fields of mechanical engineering, system dynamics and control, robotics, defense technologies, space systems, advanced materials and innovation management. He continues his duties as project evaluation, academic compliance auditing, monitoring of R&D processes and scientific consultancy of technology-oriented initiatives in the Akon Innovation Center Scientific Board.
