AKON Türkiye - Social Innovation

The European Confederation of Science Education, Health and Culture (AKON) Headquarters was put into service with a well-attended ceremony held in Küçükçekmece, Istanbul. The program, which brought together representatives of politics, public institutions, business world, academia and non-governmental organizations, was held with a wide participation. The opening program; Prof. Dr. M. Niyazi Eruslu, Istanbul Deputies Seyithan İzsiz and Harun Karaca, Presidential Advisor Metin Kaptanoğlu, AK Party Istanbul Provincial Chairman Advisor Hekimoğlu Süleyman Özcan, AK Party Küçükçekmece District Chairman M. Emin Kaya, MHP Küçükçekmece District Chairman Ekrem Sarısoy, MHP Esenyurt District Chairman Alparslan Erdoğan, Felicity Party Küçükçekmece District Chairman Feyzullah Çürük, Re-Welfare Party Representative Fuat Asan, İYİ Party District Chairman Rasim Yıldırım, Key Party Provincial Deputy Chairman İlyas Özcan and BBP Istanbul Provincial Women's Branch President Hülya Şencan participated in the program. Representing the business world, Çalık Holding Chairman Mehmet Çalık, Haymana Holding Chairman Metin Haymana, Şen Kuyumculuk Chairman Yavuz Şen, Feza Yapı İnşaat Chairman Fevzi Akbulut and İHSİAD Chairman Nurullah Şahin were also present at the opening. From the sports and culture community, Kastamonuspor Vice President Ahu Bahar, Selvispor Chairman Kadir Ünver. and Chief Hafız Adem Bila were among the names participating in the program. AKON Chairman Yasin Uluhan, who made the opening speech of the program, gave important messages about the founding purpose and goals of the confederation. Uluhan used the following statements in his speech: "Today, we are proud and happy to open the Headquarters of the European Confederation of Science Education, Health and Culture (AKON). As AKON, we aim to be beneficial to our nation and humanity with works that center on science, education, health, culture and social solidarity. There will be strength in unity. "We believe, we work to produce strong projects around common sense and common values." Stating that AKON is not only a non-governmental organization but also a strong platform that brings together different segments of people in line with common goals, Uluhan stated that they aim to carry out studies in many areas from education to health, from culture to social responsibility projects. At the end of his speech, Uluhan thanked all the guests who participated in the program and concluded his speech with the following words: "I would like to thank all our guests who did not leave us alone on this meaningful day, our supporting institutions, our board members and everyone who contributed." May God continue our unity, solidarity and efforts towards service. I hope that our AKON Headquarters will be beneficial to our country, our nation and the entire civil society community. It is aimed to carry out important work both in Turkey and on international platforms with the projects it will carry out in the fields of science, education, health, culture and social solidarity.
