Strategic Cooperation Step from AKON and ITU: Science and Civil Society Hand in Hand. European Confederation of Science Education, Health and Culture (AKON) came together with Istanbul Technical University (ITU), the heart of the science world, for strategic projects. The delegation, led by AKON Chairman Yasin Uluhan, discussed sustainable future and technology-oriented projects with Turkey's leading scientists. ISTANBUL - An important visit brought together civil society and the academic world. AKON Chairman Yasin Uluhan visited the valuable academicians of Istanbul Technical University (ITU) with his accompanying delegation; held a "common sense" meeting on a wide range of topics, from aviation to climate change, from earth sciences to education. Scientific Knowledge and NGO Experience Come Together Within the scope of the visit; Comprehensive consultations were held on concrete projects planned to be implemented in the fields of science, education, combating the climate crisis, aviation and earth sciences. During the meeting, it was emphasized that the combination of academic knowledge with AKON's field experience will pave the way for projects that will create added value for our country and humanity. Dr. Hüseyin Özdemir (Faculty Member of Eurasia Earth Sciences Institute) "We are Establishing Strong Collaborations with Our Universities" Making evaluations after the visit, AKON Chairman Yasin Uluhan drew attention to the role of universities in social transformation and said: "We aim to produce permanent works by combining academic knowledge and civil society experience. I believe that thanks to these strong collaborations we will establish with our universities, we will undertake concrete and effective projects on behalf of climate change, disaster management and sustainable future.
